The Brushed Trousers are cut from a cotton twill brushed on the inside for softness and warmth, with a touch of elastane so the fabric moves before it creases. A single front pleat gives room through the thigh; the leg tapers clean to the ankle. The waistband does its work quietly — flat button front, elasticated back — which means they hold their line through a long dinner without asking anything of you.

Sharp enough for a knit blazer, easy enough for a Sunday. Then into the washing machine, which is more than wool ever offered.
